The Challenge
Pluspetrol and JMAC Resources, both giants in their respective domains, embarked on Yacimiento La Caleta in Neuquén, Argentina, with a mission. The objective was clear: to install an aerial pipeline that would last for a year and withstand both pressure and weather conditions. Without an existing line for this project, they faced the challenge of erecting a robust but temporary water transport system, ensuring it could handle the demands of transporting river water at 20°C (68°F) and a pressure of 10 bars.
Pexgol Solution
To address this formidable challenge, the Pexgol 110-160 mm, class 15 pipeline emerged as the ideal solution. Spanning a vast length of 13,330 meters (43,773 feet), this pipeline offered the benefits of quick installation, lightweight handling, and extended sections.
Not only was the installation process streamlined to just one week using the unroller provided by Argpex, but on-site training was also given to JMAC for Pluspetrol. This ensured expert handling of Pexgol’s mechanical joints and a seamless integration process. The testament to its success was not only the efficient water transport but also the excellent after-sales service, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
