The Challenge
Poligrow Colombia is a company dedicated to the development of agro-industrial projects, focused on palm oil extraction.
Poligrow needed a new transport line for muddy water to the oxidation lagoons. For this purpose, excavation and installation of the piping was carried out in the palm crop, without causing damage to the plants or irrigation piping. The route of the piping extended from Florentino, passing through the main road and the plantation
Pexgol Solution
Poligrow opted to use Pexgol’s PE-X piping for the transport of muddy water. The choice of Pexgol was crucial to finish the project quickly and efficiently.
Pexgol was chosen for several reasons: firstly, the installation was quick and simple, which saved time and costs. Additionally, the use of PE-X piping reduced the number of necessary joints, further simplifying the installation.
Another advantage was the supply in a 550-meter roll, which minimized the need for additional cuts and joints. The installation of the 550 meters of piping was carried out in a record time of 7 hours, thanks to the efficiency and simplicity of the process.
To carry out the installation, two GP mechanical joints were used, and support was provided by a CAT 312 backhoe, a Benitin vibrocompactor, and a ratchet. In addition, the technical team responsible for the installation consisted of one officer and one assistant.
In summary, the choice of Pexgol and its PE-X piping for the transport of muddy water in the palm oil processing plant was a wise decision, as it allowed the project to be completed quickly, efficiently, and with minimal interruptions.
