The Challenge
Guaymas Protein, a leader in fish-based protein products, faced significant issues with its existing carbon steel pipelines used for diesel transport. The prevalent saline environment in the area led to recurring corrosion of the pipes, resulting in frequent maintenance and replacements to prevent leaks and environmental contamination.
The Solution
By choosing Pexgol’s 3” RD 11 pipes, Guaymas Protein found an effective solution to its corrosion problems. Pexgol pipes, with their superior chemical and corrosion resistance, provided a durable alternative to carbon steel. The flanged coupling used in the installation facilitated a smooth transition, utilizing the existing supports on-site for a quick and simple setup. The lightweight and flexible nature of Pexgol pipes, along with their ability to be delivered in long lengths, significantly sped up the installation process and reduced the need for frequent maintenance, offering a sustainable and efficient system for diesel transportation.
